Chocolate Cut-Outs

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Clabber Girl Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, salt, cinnamon and ginger. In a large bowl, beat together sugar, margarine, egg, milk and vanilla until well blended. Slowly add dry ingredients; mix well. Cover and chill 1 to 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Roll dough to a 1/4-inch thickness, cut with cookie cutters, dipping cutter in flour each time before cutting.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 8 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Cool on wire racks.
